Liz Pecan is a cofounder and Head of Development at Dispatch Biotherapeutics. At Dispatch since its inception, Liz has had a hand in all aspects of company development, including fundraising, business development, and core operational systems. 

Liz holds an MBA in Health Care Management from the Wharton School, where she focused on the intersection of cell therapy, market access, and company development. Liz has focused her career on improving treatment options for cancer patients. She has spent time in Haiti with Partners in Health to improve resource allocation for cancer treatment. In addition, she has supported the first two launch indications for Keytruda at Merck, along with the company’s first biosimilar portfolio. Liz also holds a B.A. from the University of Pennsylvania with a degree in Anthropology.

    Eliza Abbe began her career with LJF Events, LLC in 2021 and has since enjoyed funneling her strategic communications and consumer relations background into assisting the team to produce world class events. Eliza is passionate about learning to utilize the event medium as an influential marketing tool and mode of communication between a company and its clients.

    Previously, Eliza has worked as a Consumer Relations Intern at Quinn Foods, LLC, an organic snack food startup, and a Sales Associate at Vail Resorts Retail. In these positions, she honed her copywriting and customer service skills as she interfaced with customers in person, through social media posts and email messaging. Eliza holds a BS in Strategic Communications with a concentration in Public Relations and a Minor in Leadership Studies from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

    Sophia has worked in the hospitality and events industry since 2012. She brings to LJF events a strong background in catering and conference services having worked at hotels such as Four Seasons Hotels & Resorts, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, Omni Hotels & Resorts and Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group. With almost a decade of experience in managing and assisting clients with producing all aspects of their programs including hotel guestroom blocks and catering, she has successfully executed events ranging from exclusive Board of Directors Meetings to large hotel buyouts for corporate groups. Sophia received her BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Hospitality Industry Management from the University of San Francisco.

    Katie brings her years of experience in operations, process design, and account management at several technology startups to the LJF team. Her ability to create flawless efficiency in a fast-paced environment lends itself well to the perfection-driven world of event planning. Katie specializes in client registration and database management, budgeting, event design, and logistics planning. Katie received her BA in Political Science, summa cum laude, from The George Washington University.

    Mimi Bloom has over 15 years of experience working in communications and special events, specializing in planning and implementing high profile media events and financial conferences. Before coming to LJF Events in 2018, Mimi worked at Rubenstein Communications for five years, then in Corporate Access for seven years at Sterne Agee and Cantor Fitzgerald. During this period Mimi gained substantial experience working on Non-deal roadshows, field trips and management events. Among other things, she has planned site visits, created budgets, negotiated hotel contracts, and managed client communication. Since joining LJF Events, Mimi’s primary focus has been on speaker management, presentation scheduling and planning 1×1 meetings for conferences. In addition, she has worked on coordinating transportation and lodging, database management and logistics. Mimi received her BA in Communications at Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

    As President and Founder of LJF Events, LLC, Ms. Froeb brings over 20 years’ worth of event planning skills and resources to her productions. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in San Francisco, LJF Events specializes in high-end corporate event planning and production. Prior to starting her own corporate events firm in 2001, Ms. Froeb was a principal and the Director of Corporate Events at Robertson Stephens & Company; a San Francisco based investment bank. As the Director, Ms. Froeb successfully built an outstanding Global Corporate Events department. Before Joining Robertson Stephens & Company, she was the Associate Director of Corporate Events at Montgomery Securities/Banc of America Securities. Ms. Froeb also worked for several years at Franklin Templeton and Sotheby’s. Ms. Froeb received her BA in English and Art History from Smith College in Northampton, MA.

    Liza Carr has worked for LJF Events since 2003. As an event manager, she has assisted in executing annual corporate events with specific focus on speaker management and the attendee registration process. Her skilled handling of domestic and international attendees stems from her prior work at Robertson Stephens & Company where she managed registration for numerous industry conferences. Additionally, Liza spent two years in the Editorial department at Glamour Magazine. Liza received her BA from Rollins College in Winter Park, FL.

    Julia has managed special events, fundraisers and conferences for 15 years. Her event management experience encompasses corporate, nonprofit and public-sector clients including Banc of America Securities, OXFAM, The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, San Francisco Art Institute and Children’s Hospital & Research Center Oakland. Programs have included corporate meetings, premier fundraisers and auctions, and client entertainment trips. Whether the program is “black tie optional” or “bring your hunting license,” Julia focuses on producing a memorable experience for guests. Julia received her BA from University of California, Los Angeles.

    Since 2001, Katie has held senior leadership positions in both Corporate Events and Corporate Access Departments at Lord Abbett, Banc of America Securities and Jefferies. In 2014, she began working with LJF Events and leads its investor conference 1x1s efforts. She holds a BA from Villanova University.

    Since 2009, Debbie Broderick has produced phenomenal events at LJF Events, LLC. During her time at LJF Events, she has honed her event production skills and works tirelessly in her efforts to achieve success for her clients. Debbie has assisted in planning and running both small and large scale corporate events in the financial services, healthcare and technology sectors. She has supervised investment banking conferences, annual meetings, sales kick-offs, exclusive retreats, networking events, sponsorships of national sporting events and many virtual productions, Debbie is often commended for her expertise in event registration management and client communication. She excels at contract negotiation, copywriting, budgeting and overall event design. Debbie thrives in the fast paced, creative world of event planning. Debbie graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in Recording Arts and Music and an MA in Education.

    Kristen Degnan has over 15 years of experience in the Corporate Events Industry. Her passion for planning has ensured long lasting client relationships and hundreds of successful events. She has worked extensively in both the Technology and Banking fields She has produced events all over the world and is adept at budget management, venue research, hotel contract negotiations, audio visual effects, sourcing entertainment and speakers, travel planning and client communications. Kristen received her BA from CSU Chico.

    Prior to working at LJF Events, Kristen ran the Corporate Events Department at Silicon Valley Bank where she helped create the department, oversaw their annual budget, ran their executive level programs, Round-table discussions, Tech Forum, and Leadership Conferences. Working still in the Banking Industry, Kristen also spent several years at Robertson Stephens & Company where she worked on its industry conferences and road shows.

    Kristen has extensive experience in the Technology Industry. As a Senior Event Manager at VERITAS Software (now Symantec), she ran all executive forums, global sales conferences, and incentive trips.

    Gena is a global corporate event marketing specialist with 20 years of production strategy in leading, creating and executing client interfacing conferences and events of all sizes and complexity. Gena’s career began in the corporate events department at Montgomery Securities in San Francisco. She relocated with the company to New York after it was purchased by Bank of America. At Bank of America, Gena’s most recent position was that of Senior Vice President and Strategic Marketing Executive, responsible for the investment bank’s portfolio of client events and investor conferences in the US, Canada and Latin America (Bank of America Merrill Lynch).

    Gena managed a team of close to 40 event professionals and oversaw the execution of over 500 events annually. Part of her purview included responsibility for a multi-million dollar global program budget as well as oversight of the international investor conference portfolio in Asia Pacific and EMEA (Emerging Markets, Europe and Africa). Her focus concentrated on the creation and supervision of differentiated programs that supported revenue growth, highlighted the firms’ business products and showcased senior management as thought leaders in the industry. Gena received her BA in Communications at the University of Washington in Seattle.

    Ms. Mohan is a Certified Meeting Planner. With over 20 years of experience in event management, Ms. Mohan can manage any type of event. Her event planning history includes domestic and international conferences, special events and sporting events. Ms. Mohan has executed successful productions across various industries, such as the financial, high tech, medical and judicial fields. Prior to joining LJF Events, Ms. Mohan was at E.piphany where she was their Global Director of Events. She planned numerous Sales Kick-offs, Users Conferences and President’s Club Events. Before joining E.piphany, she worked at Robertson Stephens & Company.
